coming in, but they have been kind of feeling their way. in the second half of this game, this offense has been starting to feel its way. a huge hole for ezekiel elliott. here's that power run, pat elf elfleein. another blowup, missed tackle by tegray scales. then elliott shows you that mini burst he has when he gets in the open field. now starting to take over. little bit second half than first. >> mike: i really feel for indiana right now. you've lost your running back, second in the nation coming in, very effective before he hurt his ankle.

a few minutes ago, that's the ankle last week. >> ed: weent to practice yesterday, he didn't look like he was walking around like a 22-year-old or 23-year-old guy should be walking around. i asked kevin wilson about it, especially for a quarterback, he just got banged out. now the truth comes out. not surprised. he didn't look 00% yesterday and didn't look like much to tweak his ankle. >> mike: diamont on the keeper, only picks up about two. darron lee chased him to the corner. >> ed: the problem is, when you have an outside backer like darron lee who's an quarterback, now playing a monster job on the outside. >> mike: he's 55 pounds heavier than you are. that complicates the situation a little bit when you try to turn upfield. 6 nothing like the feeling of

somebody who's twice as big as you are outrunning you. >> ed: lee had a huge interception returned for a touchdown against northern illinois, in the late third quarter when ohio state really needed something to happen. he came through. >> mike: tough situation here, third and six. diamont threw that up for grabs. he's fortunate that wasn't picked off, as sam hubbard put pressure on him. >> ed: in fairness with indiana offense, you get caught with diamont, you have to call a different game, you can see not quite as confident. this guy is in his second year of college football, was thrown in the fire last year, may end up being a solid quarterback. >> mike: five three and outs in the last six possessions. another low skidding kick that goes out of bounds at around the

missed it about an inch. 16 steps out of bounds. oh, he's out of bounds when he recovers the ball. >> mike: he got back in, i th k think. >> ed: you have to establish yourself back in, so the question becomes, was fant legal when he came back in to recover this ball. >> mike: what a huge break this would be. if you do out of bounds, you can't be the first guy -- >> ed: right there, that left foot is out of bounds when he goes to touch this ball. i'm not so sure -- my understanding of this, i believe this will be ohio state ball. because fant is the first guy to touch the ball, i would be shocked if this was not given back to ohio state. >> mike: then you go back and

penalize the block that started this play. >> ed: you would have to give indiana the opportunity to accept that penalty if they do overturn this >> referee: after further review the ruling on the field the fumble recovered by indiana stands. first down. >> ed: we'll get an explanation from the replay review. but i'm shocked that this stood for indiana. it looked like to me that fant was out of bounds. >> mike: he was clearly out of bounds with his left foot. but indiana takes over at the 49 yard line. diamont hands to redding. redding knocked out at the 46 yard line. >> ed: my understanding it's
6:46 pm
reviewable to establish if a player was out of bounds before making a play. i believe that was reviewable. we're still waiting to hear why that wasn' overturned and given back to ohio state. >> mike: the fake to redding. diamont takes off. nice cut to get some more yardage across the 40, dragged out of bounds. crowd wanted a flag, they thought it was a late hit but he was contacted inside by conley and taken out of bounds. >> ed: diamont didn't look like he was going to pick up the yardage. good for ohio state that conley is back in. >> mike: a good noncall, just a hard tackle. took him out of bounds with him. redding. gets a couple. let's go back one time. >> ed: we just heard from the
6:47 pm
replay officials that while fant was touching the ball, it is not clear -- we'll have stop it right when he touches the ball, he does have the opportunity to come back in to establish himself, they're not sure as we roll guard whether his foot is on the ground and the left leg is on the ground. i don't disagree as i watch this and hear the explanation. he was back in the field of play before he recovered. i want to go back one more time. because this is very important, obviously a with a turnover at this point in the game. watch fant's left foot come off the ground and his right hip go down which would re-establish him in the field of play. i agree. i think that the right call was not to overturn the recovery by indiana after we got the explanation. excellent explanation by the replay booth.

he couldn't get over there fast enough. >> mike: flag is down. this may be on ohio state. >> ed: yeah, it looked like they grabbed the face mask of redding. you know, we talked to kevin wilson yesterday about this exact situation -- >> referee: personal foul, face mask, defense, number 55. half the distance to the goal line. automat ix first down. >> mike: you can tell how windy is from the official's microphone. >> ed: we talking to kevin wilson being down ten, because his kicker has such a good leg, it's so much harder to score a touchdown in this situation, he said i would normally continue to go for the touchdown here, even if ohio state burns the clock and we get the ball back, we can always try a superlong field. >> mike: look at ul of the white shirts there. >> ed: the thinking is, if
6:50 pm
you're down ten, take the three and get back. his thinking is a little bit different, he said with our kicking situation, so hard to score, we haven't been great in the red zone scoring touchdowns. sometimes i got to think seven, three later i can get from farther away. >> mike: but, will that change because sudfeld isn't in there and howard isn't in there? >> ed: that's a good call. >> mike: this is for the end zone and dropped, right in the hands of tyvis powell at the goal line. >> ed: wow. tyvis powell did an awesome job from his safety position of reading the quarterback's eyes, diamont lets that ball come a bit to the inside and tyvis powell lets it fall right to the ground. >> ed: he's the guy who clinched the alabama semifinals with the
